Although there is are many neurodegenerative conditions, three dementias (Alzheimer, Lewy body, and frontotemporal) represent the vast majority of cases. The clinical course and pathologic findings of these three diseases will be compared and contrasted. Antibody selection as key to diagnosis and the most current consensus criteria for reporting will be emphasized.
