I completed my Medical school in China, which was followed by 10 years of research/teaching in Biochemistry and Pharmacology both in China and Canada. I then successfully completed five years of residency training in General Pathology in Canada and became a Royal College certified general pathologist in 2014 (FRCPC).
Throughout my medical training and research experience, I aspire a career in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. I have finished a year of fellowship training in clinical biochemistry and mainly focus on Newborn screening and biochemical genetics laboratory testing. Now I am serving in IWK health centre and taking up a leadership role in the division of clinical biochemistry and Maritime newborn screening program. My main interest is in the field of Newborn screening and in Inherited metabolic disease diagnosis
