Breast specimen grossing presents unique challenges and may be intimidating due to its complexity. Using case based approach this session will explain the clinical relevance of different breast specimen types. It will also promote selective sampling rather than oversampling by utilizing information from imaging and preceding pathological diagnosis.

At the end of the sessions, participants will be able to:

1. Describe clinically relevant differences between the types of breast specimens
2. Develop a systematic approach to breast specimen grossing
3. Perform breast specimen grossing using highly selective sampling
