    My name is Sadaf Memon. I am a General Pathologist and completed my residency training from McMaster University. Currently. I am working as a Staff Pathologist at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill and Cortelluci Vaughan Hospital, Ontario. I am also the Physician Lead of Hospital Transfusion Medicine Department. I am a Vice Chair General Pathology section at Canadian Association of Pathologist and a nucleus member of General Pathology Section at Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

This presentation will cover the reasons why digital pathology was implemented at Mackenzie Health as well as the methods used to validate the technology, ongoing quality management, archiving of digital slides, use of home workstations for remote reporting, digital coverage of frozen sections and the added value digital pathology brings to multidisciplinary case conferences/tumour boards. The presentation will also cover the benefits realized and the challenges encountered.
