Dr. Kelly Dakin HacheKelly Dakin Hache is an anatomical pathologist at the QE II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax (Nova Scotia Health Authority – Central Zone). She specializes in orthopedic pathology and breast pathology. She is the medical director of the immunohistochemistry laboratory. She completed a BSc at Mount Allison University, a PhD at Queens University, Medicine and Residency at Dalhousie University and a fellowship in Orthopedic Pathology at the University of Chicago Medical Centre.
Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- List histological and immunohistochemical features of soft tissue tumors
- List histological and immunohistochemical features of bone tumors
- Discuss grading and staging of bone and soft tissue tumors
- List entities with associated tumor syndromes
- Identify tumors with recurrent genetic abnormalities (translocations)
This lecture reviews classification, grading, and staging of bone and soft tissue tumors. Non-neoplastic bone disease is also discussed..
