    Dr. Bojana Djordjevic

    Dr. Bojana Djordjevic is a gynecologic pathologist at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Toronto. She completed her medical degree at the University of Alberta, anatomical pathology residency at the University in Toronto and fellowship training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research program focuses on discovery of cancer biomarkers in gynecologic pathology and their implementation into daily clinical practice. She is the 2013 recipient of the Stephen F. Vogel award from the United States Academy of Pathology and the 2018 recipient of the 40 under Forty Top 5 award from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Dr. Djordjevic is a nationally and internationally invited speaker and has directed several short courses and workshops in gynecologic pathology and pathologist career development.

Objectives:

  • Outline the pathogenesis ofof common neoplastic diseases of the female genital tract
  • Summarize the key histologic features of newly described entities and understand emerging concepts in gynecologic pathology

This lecture is an overview of well-established and emerging entities and concepts in gynecologic pathology that should comprise the knowledge base of senior residents in gynecologic pathology.
