Dr. Chelsea Maedler-Kron
Dr. Chelsea Maedler, MD FRCPC FCAP is a staff pathologist at the McGill University Health Center and an assistant professor at McGill University. She is the Director of McGill’s Anatomical Pathology Residency Program.
Dr. Maedler received her medical training at McMaster University and completed her residency in anatomic pathology at Dalhousie University. She was a fellow in pediatric pathology at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (USC). Dr. Maedler is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and is dual American board certified in Anatomic and Pediatric Pathology.
Dr. Maedler is dedicated to clinical, teaching, and translational research activities in the fields of pediatric, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology. She has won numerous teaching awards including ‘Teacher of the Year 2019’ (Department of Pathology, McGill University).
Dr. Maedler has also received numerous University based and national awards including the Brigadier-General Hebert Stanley Birkett Memorial Research Award (MGH Foundation), the Grete Roggenburg Research Award (MGH Foundation), the McLaughlin Fellowship (Dalhousie University), and the Kristin Sivertz Resident Leadership Award (RCPSC).
