Description
The classification of renal cell tumours is constantly evolving thanks to a better understanding of the molecular aspects of these tumours. This lecture will review the recently updated WHO Classification of Kidney Tumours and offer an approach to their diagnosis through a case based presentation.
Objectives:
- Apply a morphologic and immunohistochemical approach to the diagnosis of renal cell neoplasms.
- Diagnose less common variants of renal cell neoplasms including new entities recently added to the WHO classification.
- Diagnose hereditary renal cell carcinoma.
