    Dr. Heidi Sapp

    Dr. Heidi Sapp was raised in Valley, just outside of Truro, Nova Scotia. She earned her undergraduate degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. At Dalhousie University, she graduated from medical school and completed a residency in Anatomical Pathology. She continued her training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts where she completed two years of fellowship in Surgical Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology. In 2002, Dr. Sapp returned to Dalhousie University where she specializes in Gastrointestinal, Liver and Pancreatic Pathology. She is a former program director for the Anatomical Pathology residency program at Dalhousie and a former member of the Royal College Anatomical Pathology Examination committee. Presently, she is the vice chair of the Royal College Anatomical Pathology Specialty committee. Heidi is married to Dr. John Sapp, a cardiac electrophysiologist, and they have four wonderful children.
